ISSI/ISSI-BJ Science Committee 42nd Meeting Successfully Held at ISSI-BJ
On May 25-26, 2016, ISSI/ISSI-BJ Science Committee 42nd Meeting was the first time being successfully held at ISSI-BJ. 16 science committee members, ex officio members and ISSI/ISSI-BJ directorate participated this meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Tilman Spohn, Chairman of Science Committee, delivered welcome speech and Prof. Maurizio Falanga, Executive Director of ISSI-BJ, introduced status of ISSI-BJ and ISSI on behalf of Prof. Rafael Rodrigo. After half-day group discussion, split into astrophysics, earth science, planets, plasma magnetosphere and solar, Science Committee evaluated 2016 Team proposals. As a result, the evaluation report will be announced in June, 2016.
ISSI and ISSI-BJ share the same Science Committee, which is made up of internationally renowned scientists, also advises and supports the Directorate in the establishment of the scientific agenda providing a proper equilibrium among the activities and reviews and grades the International Team proposals in response to the annual call.
