ISSI-BJ Workshop on “Synergistic Research of Stellar Clusters and Asteroseismology in the Era of Space-based Telescopes” successfully held on 13–17 April 2026

On April 13–17, 2026, the ISSI-BJ Workshop “Synergistic Research of Stellar Clusters and Asteroseismology in the Era of Space-based Telescopes” was held successfully. About 50 leading scientists from a range of institutes took part in the event, which was convened by Profs. Conny Aerts (Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium), Tim Bedding (University of Sydney, Australia), Jianning Fu (Beijing Normal University, China), Xiaoting Fu    (Purple Mountain Observatory, China), Richard de Grijs (Macquarie University, Australia; International Space Science Institute-Beijing, China), Gang Li (Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium; University of Southern Queensland, Australia), Joey Mombarg (University of Paris-Saclay, France), Simon Murphy (University of Southern Queensland, Australia), and Meng Sun (National Astronomical Observatories of China, China).
The Workshop’s main topics encompassed space missions: overview and outlook; solar-like oscillators in clusters; classical pulsators in clusters; pulsating mergers and binary evolution; clusters with diverse stellar internal physics; central magnetic fields reviewed by asteroseismology.
As scientific output, a new volume of the Space Science Series of ISSI will be published covering the content of this Workshop, for distribution to both the science community and space science institutions.
